村田選手は強かった！

ロンドンオリンピックのボクシング、ミドル級金メダリストの村田諒太さん（三迫）が25日、東京有明コロシアムでノンタイトル6回戦でプロデビューしました。東洋太平洋ミドル級チャンピオンの柴田明雄（ワタナベ）を2回2分24秒のTKOで下しました。衝撃のデビューを飾ったのはもちろん凄い事ですが、村田選手がプロデビュー戦でいきなり東洋太平洋チャンピオンを相手に選んだこと、また柴田選手が、そのオファーを受けたことコチラの方がもっと凄い事だと思っています。どちらもかなりのリスクがあったと思います。村田選手のこれからの活躍、是非アメリカ進出をしてほしいものです。柴田選手には東洋太平洋や日本で試合をつみ、また村田選手といつか再戦してもらいたいものです。

この日は、今注目されている井上尚弥選手（大橋）の日本ライトフライ級タイトルマッチ10回戦も行われました。デビュー4戦目で王座を獲得。3人目の快挙。ダウンこそ奪えませんでしたが、終始スピードと手数で優位にたった試合内容でした。本当に見応えのある試合でした。これも田口良一選手（ワタナベ）の王者としての意地が絶対に倒れない、チャンピオンベルトを死守するという強い気持ちが表れた試合でした。両選手に拍手を送りたいとおもいます。
